Over the past two years, a broad group of organizations and individuals have been working collectively together to lift up and bring to life a “comprehensive, community-based approach” to early childcare and education here in Toledo, Ohio.

John C. Jones, president of HOPE Toledo, has announced that Shawna Woody has been named the organization’s vice president of operations. Woody will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures, program efficiencies, fiscal management and tracking and evaluation for the organization.

Students in the 2021 graduating class at Jesup W. Scott High School will have an opportunity to apply for a scholarship from HOPE Toledo, under the HOPE Toledo Promise program.

HOPE Toledo, whose mission it is to support and ensure high-quality educational experiences for all of Toledo’s youth—starting with early childhood education (Pre-K) and continuing through post-secondary education—has received a $25,000 gift from The Image Group.

Wendi Huntley, Esq., chairperson of HOPE Toledo, has announced that John C. Jones will serve as the organization’s president. Jones previously served as community liaison for ProMedica Health System with its Social Determinants of Health office.
